The Special Relationship returns to The Book Club in London to bring you another night of fiction, poetry, films and comedy hosted by Tom Basden (Party, 4 at the Fringe, Plebs).

ANJALI JOSEPH was born in Bombay, read English at Trinity College, Cambridge, and has taught English at the Sorbonne. More recently she wrote for the Times of India in Bombay and was Commissioning Editor for ELLE (India). Her first novel, Saraswati Park, was published by 4th Estate in 2010; it won the Betty Trask Prize, Desmond Elliott Prize, and Vodafone Crossword Book Award for Fiction in India. Another Country, her second novel, was published in June 2012.

CHIBUNDU ONUZO was born in Nigeria in 1991 and is the youngest of four children. She is currently studying History at Kings College, London. Her first novel, The Spider King’s Daughter, was published by Faber & Faber in 2012. When not writing, Chibundu can be found playing the piano or singing.

THE BOOKSHOP BAND writes songs inspired by books and plays them in bookshops (and sometimes at very exclusive literature-related events), and is composed of Poppy Pitt, Beth Porter and Ben Please.
